'AMERICAN MENU'

Enjoy this staged reading of this popular play written by Don Wilson Glenn that concerns five black restaurant workers in the kitchen of a “whites only” Texas diner. It's May 1968, between the assassinations of Martin Luther King Jr. and Robert F. Kennedy, the air is fraught with momentous events--national, local and personal. The play reminds us that just like soul food African Americans are part of the American menu, too.

Cost: $10
